Take a Media Fast (1 day - 1 week)

- Limit your email and text messaging. Consider no more than twice daily at noon and 4pm (answer ONLY messages that are high priority) You might set-up an auto-responder letting people know when you will next be available.

You may want to tell your family members, close friends and your boss (if you have one) that you are taking a Media Fast. Then, ask for their support? Explain to them how it important it is for you to have the rest.
If you desire some form of media I encourage you to watch entertaining and inspiring movies, listen to soothing and uplifting music, read or listen to audio books you enjoy.
You are taking a much needed time out from information overload and replacing it with pleasurable and uplifting pursuits.

Self Care Recommendation
The Universal Law of Attraction 'Ask and You Shall Receive' is always operating.
This is an easy exercise you can use to check in with yourself to find out what you're really asking for and expecting the universe to deliver to you.
The creative intelligence of the universe always responds to your requests.
Every thought you think is literally an affirmative prayer. The more energy you put into your prayer thoughts the more quickly the universe will deliver your request.
Take time right now to write down the questions you are asking the universe.
You can tell what questions you are "consistently" asking by the results you are getting in your life. This doesn't mean you don't have challenges in your life. Challenges can be seen as a gift as they help strengthen you and prepare you for the next stage of your journey.
It's not what happens in your life, but the meaning you give to what happens and how you choose to respond that gives you your results.
Are you asking, "Why does this always happen to me?"
Or are you asking, "How can this be a gift? How can this help me? How can I use this for my evolution and growth?"
You can choose to frame every circumstance in your life as positive or negative. Ultimately only time will tell because something that appears entirely negative may result in enormous blessings for you later on. And vice versa, what seems a great blessing may turn into a worrisome burden later on.
Life is a never ending cycle of up and down events.
Your thoughts are nothing more than a constant stream of questions and affirmative thoughts.
What question you ask determines the quality of response and result you will receive.
This exercise will help you become aware of the "quality" of questions you're asking, so that you can consciously choose to create more experiences of joy and satisfaction in your life.
Give up your expectations and accept the best!
Take time to consider one, or more, challenging events in your life that have turned into blessings? Write them down.

Personal Identity?
Explore how you identify yourself as a personl. There is no right or wrong way to identify your self. However, how you think and feel about your self as a person is an all important consideration.
How you innately feel about yourself as a person can increase or decrease your feeling of satisfaction and being overwhelmed. For instance, you could inadvertently be adding to your level of stress through your personal self-identification(s).
You are continually broadcasting to your friends, family and your world how you identify and feel about yourself as a person.
Your personal identity is the paradigm from which you operate in your world and colors your perception of reality.
Personal Identity Exercise
You are going to find out exactly how you think and feel about yourself personally by quickly jotting down how you primarily identify yourself.
What you will need:
A clean sheet of white paper.
Examples:
Do you frequently identify yourself as a mom, dad or parent?
Do you identify yourself by your job, or occupation?
Do you identify yourself as a member in a particular organization, or club?
Do you identify yourself as living in certain neighborhood or town or part of the world, citizenship?
Do you identify yourself as a vegan?
Do you identify yourself as a spiritual being?
Other identifiers:
Athlete, divorced, widowed, elderly, disabled, entrepreneur, artist, veteran, brave, resourceful, intelligent, stupid?
How do you identify yourself as a person? Fill in the blank.
The ways you might identify and think of yourself as a person are countless. Just jot down whatever immediately comes to your mind.
It's important that you take the time to write down how you identify yourself as person, not just think about it in your head. Through this process you'll discover far more of the truth about how you "feel" about the personal identity paradigm you operate from within.
After you have your list consider briefly how you "feel" about each of the ways you identify yourself as a person. Allow yourself to reveal your true emotions and feelings about how you identify yourself as a person.
After you complete your personal identify exercise consider if you might want to release and let go of some of your previous identifications. Or, perhaps you feel so much exhilaration when thinking of yourself identity as a person that you want to expand this part of your identification.
Your mind will always try to identify you personally with something. You need to choose what feels best for you and supports you to most fully express your authentic being.

Feel Your Feelings!
Your feelings just want to be felt. Think of your feelings like a young child wanting your acceptance and reassurance. Being the loving parent and taking time to feel your feelings is one of the most wonderful acts of Self Love you can give to yourself.
It's simple, just BE with your feelings, whatever they may be. Self love and acceptance of your feelings results in profound and deep healing of your emotional body.
Gestalt therapist Fritz Perls was quoted as saying, "Anxiety is excitement without the breath." So practice breathing acceptance into your feelings.
There are basically only a few emotions you can experience: joy, sadness, fear, anger and erotic or sexual feelings.
Of course there are an infinite number of colorations and variations upon these primary emotions.
Some emotions can be very intense though most feeling we label "negative" only last momentarily if fully embraced.
When you resist your feelings or medicate your feelings with food or other distractions you short circuit their purpose, prolong your experience of short term discomfort and create needless suffering for yourself.
Your emotions have a message for you. Listen to their message!
Sometimes you will be prompted to take action after embracing and feeling your feelings. At other times nothing is required other than to just BE with your feelings - acknowledge, experience and accept them.
Any feeling can feel uncomfortable if you associate pain with it. For instance you may stifle the feeling of joy because you associate a belief that it can't last, or soon you'll be disappointed.
You may have to actually train yourself to sustain your experience of feeling joy!
The feeling of joy is your natural feeling state. Joy is the experience of being fully alive and experiencing aliveness.
Next time an uncomfortable feeling comes up allow yourself to experience it fully. Practice breathing into it and just BEING one with it. Allow yourself to experience your feelings fully and see what happens.
