These two essential oils are among the best to use as part of a comfort-care ritual to support natural drainage and ease discomfort associated with a Bartholin cyst. Below you’ll also find a gentle generic formula and directions for use.
CYPRESS (Cupressus sempervirens)
Cypress oil has a clean, fresh, woody aroma with a hint of spice—reminiscent of pine and juniper berry. Distilled from the leaves and cones of the elegant evergreen Cypress tree of the Mediterranean, it’s long valued in aromatherapy for its toning and circulatory qualities that help support fluid movement and tissue comfort.
CAUTIONS: Skin sensitization if oxidized—refrigerate to preserve freshness.
LEMON (Citrus limon)
Bright and uplifting, Lemon essential oil carries a sweet, fruity aroma with crisp, clean notes. Sourced from the cold-pressed peel of organic Italian lemons, this oil is often chosen for blends that encourage renewal and a sense of lightness.
CAUTIONS: Skin sensitization if oxidized—refrigerate. Phototoxic (low risk).
Maximum dermal use level 2%. Avoid direct sunlight or sunlamps for up to 12 hours after topical use.
