We can all use extra helpings of holiday cheer this year. It’s been an incredibly ‘challenging’ time we’ve all been living through globally (to say the least). Challenges have surfaced on all fronts. From COVID-19's appearance earlier this year and the ongoing mixed messaging about the best response for controlling the virus' spread, to global warming related crises like rampant out of control wildfires and devastating floods from tropical storms, hurricanes and cyclones worldwide, to the crash of many financial sources of income suddenly shutdown for far too many people. Food insecurity is on the rise this year in the U.S. and around the world. Instead of continuing trends showing the lowering of worldwide poverty worldwide, we've seen a doubling...

They’re in your mattress, your couch cushions, your vents. They live on your counters, in the food you eat, and the very air you breathe. You clean and clean with sprays and cleansers designed to kill the germs, but only make you sick. The cleaners and air fresheners you use may only manage to add to the toxins that already saturate your home and work environments. That’s because what’s making so many people sick these days is not just bacteria and viruses. It’s also the toxins surrounding us on every surface, nearly every product we own, in the food we eat, the water we drink, and in every breath we take.  Modern living brings with it many conveniences that make...

Your body is a complex ecosystem with intricate overlapping connections, only now becoming to be fully appreciated by our modern and evolving scientific community. Breakthroughs in scientific understanding are cracking through the resistance presented by prior centuries of Newtonian mechanistic and reductionist science. The old view of dividing life into parts and creating fields of specialization is fast being replaced by the ‘new’ science of Einstein. Now with the advent of this ‘new’ science, researchers are beginning to see the intricate connections between all of life. Everything is connected and acting as one body organism. These new discoveries in the scientific community have huge implications for our health and the health of our planet. In 1972 Dr. Candace Pert discovered the...

Have you noticed things have gotten extremely unstable and changeable (or even crazy), especially since the start of summer in the northern hemisphere? For at least a partial explanation, look to the shift in the lunar nodes that began in May. The first series of eclipses occurring after the shift marked important events that included a surge in Corona Virus cases and the escalation of the Black Lives Matter movement.  Subsequent unrest took hold in the United States. Let me spell it out for you. On May 5, 2020, we had one of the most important transits occuring in 2020. The Lunar Nodes moved into new zodiac signs. The North Node moved into Gemini and the South Node moved into Sagittarius. The Nodes will remain in these zodiac signs...

The new science of epigenetics is throwing a spotlight on the role environment plays in health and disease. What is Epigenetics?Epigenetics is the study of changes in genetic expression that do not involve changes to your DNA. The genes that you carry in your personal genome are always present, but not all of them are expressed. Think of how two parents with brown eyes can have a child with green eyes. For this to happen, one or both parents had to have genes for green eyes, but those genes were never expressed. Instead, the brown genes were and that caused their eyes to take on that color. In passing on their DNA to their child, they could have given them...
