Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the trickster of the zodiac who undoes plans and confuses matters. Mercury also brings magic through its mayhem. Ever heard of the term, a gift in strange wrapping paper? Well, that’s the Mercury retrograde effect. Mercury rules the zodiac’s 3rd house which governs all things that connect us in the world for communications and networking of all kinds, i.e. computers, phones, buses, trains, planes, cars. Our local neighborhood is ruled by Gemini. Chattiness and gossip get ramped up. More social exchanges with neighbors and friends get a boost. It’s a time for re-connecting and refurbishing things. All the ‘RE’ words apply now. Mercury retrograde brings matters to a head that need to be changed. Attitudes...

Aristotle's laws of association and the law of similarity propose that when two things are alike the thought of one will trigger the thought of the other. In other words, the mind works to attract a variety of life experiences according to patterns of association.  Studies show that 95% of our thoughts are repetitive. We think the same thoughts everyday. It’s like a deep groove in our thought patterns gets established and we keep having the same experiences. No matter how things may change, the patterns remain the same. When you keep thinking the same recurring thoughts you keep creating the same, or similar experiences. An example of this is neediness. If you find yourself chronically experiencing the mental state...

Sagittarius is ruled by jovial and expansive Jupiter. Whatever Jupiter touches is said to have the Midas touch and will bring abundance. Jupiter’s touch does expand and can bring excessive and over the top experiences. The word reckless comes to mind, so watch for over doing it, don’t push the envelope. However, since the Moon’s total lunar eclipse is Sextile to Saturn (the task master and planet of limitations) perhaps extravagant gestures are less likely to happen now? We’ll see! Jupiter is a massive planet and rules the 9th house representing higher education, philosophy/ideologies and world travel. So, these areas of your life and on the world stage at large will get a tremendous boost at this time. There’s promise...

One of the most crucial steps to taking charge of yourself is to take charge of the influx of noise that may be accosting you. This means taking a time out from sources that may be producing aggravation and worry for you. Today, one of the key sources of overwhelm is excessive exposure to the media. Media exposure comes in many guises. You may find yourself unwittingly and addictively tuning into only a select few of your favorite media sources excessively. Continuous exposure to only a select few media sources, i.e. social media, radio, television, surfing the net, texting, email, etc. may not only sap your energy, but also program you to believe negatively about certain groups of people and...
